What We Do
Friends of Sculthorpe Moor (FOSM) was set up by Vice-President, David Cobham in 2007. FOSM has it’s own specific committee that meets quarterly. There is also a Fund-Raising group dedicated to raising funds for the reserve.
By becoming a Friend you will be contributing directly to the conservation, education and future project work carried out by the Hawk and Owl Trust on Sculthorpe Moor. You will receive information about special events, talks and activities that are taking place at the Education Centre.
You will also have the opportunity to take part in practical conservation work on the moor.
Through ‘The Friends’, Sculthorpe Moor Reserve has been able to expand and improve. The first major improvement you see is the road to the reserve – funded by Friends. Provision of workshops is not so obvious but equally important, not only to house machinery and tools but space to repair and maintain them. We also have volunteers making nest boxes that provide an additional income for the reserve.
