2012 Norwich Cathedral Peregrine chick ‘Grant’ was spotted at Strumpshaw Fen by one of  Norwich Cathedral Peregrine Project Observation Point volunteers.

They called HOT to let us know that they had spotted ‘Grant’ – the male of the two successfully fledged chicks hunting over Strumpshaw Fen.

Grant was positively identified by the  ring on his leg:

“He was hunting then sat in a dead tree for about 30 seconds, in front of me”.

The Hawk and Owl Trust Urban Peregrine Projects is looking for volunteers to help at the Norwich Cathedral Peregrine Project Observation Point.

If you’re interested, please call Leanne at the Sculthorpe Moor reserve on 01328 856 788 or sign up today at our dedicated web site: www.upp.hawkandowl.org

  1. During a short walk around south walsham broad, having watched 4 owls hunting around the marshes, As I made my way back to the car I observed a Peregrine falcon. I even managed to photo it, not a great shot but it did confirm it was a PF.
