Please come along and chat to Tanya Eyre (Outreach and Education Officer, Fylingdales Moor, N Yorkshire. Hawk and Owl Trust) on the Hawk and Owl Trust stand, or bring your children along to enjoy the drop-in activities.
Every year Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens hosts a wildlife day in an attempt to enthuse people about the wildlife in their gardens and provide them with practical tips on how to share even the smallest of spaces with animals, birds and insects.
Admission is £5 for adults and £1 for children (5-16)
This year the event will be part of National Insect Week and we are delighted that insect expert, Dr Roger Key, will be leading mini-bug hunts during the day. Other confirmed participants this year include:
British Arachnological Society (spiders), British Trust for Ornithology, Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Lindum Turf, North Yorkshire Rotters, Owl and Hawk Trust, Selby Wildlife, Wolds Barn Owl Group, Yorkshire Butterfly Trust, Yorkshire Mammal Group and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
Lunches will be available to purchase from Lexis Larder and coffee and cake from the cafe.
