The second phase of clearing our boundary ditch will require the use of a chainsaw to bring the stumps to ground level and spraying of these freshly ‘wounded’ stumps (to be carried out by Phil & Simon). At the same time any remaining brash needs to be carried away and burnt (hopefully in the still hot embers of the weekend’s fire!)
Come and join us and help us develop Shapwick Moor into an amazing place for wildlife and people. Everyone is welcome! No special skill or expertise is needed, just enthusiasm, a sense of fun and your muscles! We provide all the tools (please bring your own gardening gloves and sensible footwear) and will explain why we are doing the work and what we hope to achieve on the Moor. It’s a great team of people, newcomers are always welcome. We meet at the Shapwick Moor Car Park (TA7 9NW). Bring your own packed lunch. Children are always welcome if accompanied by parents.
Occasionally we need to alter task dates at short notice – please email or phone Simon or Baz to let us know you plan to join us (Simon: firstname.lastname@example.org Tel 01308 861008 or Baz: email@example.com).
