Looking at where and how wildlife make their homes

slide_education2The Avalon Marshes Wildlife Group’s activities are aimed at children agaed 5-12 years old and their familes. The age-guide is not strict however, so please feel welcome to bring along toddlers and teens too, with any number of accompanying parents, grandparents or other family and friends.  The main idea is to get everyone out and enjoying exploring nature.  The sessions are lead by reserve staff and volunteers who are very knowledgable about the area and its wildlife.

When attending a session please ensure that everyone is appropriately dressed for outdoor activities in the weather conditions, such as waterproofs and suncream and sun hats. Sturdy footwear and long trousers and tops are essential – what ever the weather.  We also recommend that children bring insect repellent and a water bottle.  Toilet facilities are available at the Avalon Marshes Centre, but not out on the reserves.

Booking is Essential
